Our Story
Dr. Basa and Dr. Abando started B+A Surgeons (formerly “Cedar Park Surgeons”) to provide quality and compassionate care for bariatric patients.
As the word spread about our minimally invasive procedures, we outgrew our original 3,000 sq ft office space.
After thousands of appointments and procedures, we dreamed of having one location where patients could receive all the necessary services and support to achieve long-term weight loss. We constructed the B+A Medical Center for this purpose.
At B+A, we do more than operate. We designed a comprehensive program where surgeons, registered dietitians, a physician assistant, aestheticians, lab technicians, and patient coordinators all work together under one roof.
We saw our patients had great success with weight loss after surgery, but they still didn’t feel confident in their bodies because of loose and sagging skin. That is when we decided to complete specialized training in aesthetics and open B+A Medical Aesthetics. This allowed us to help our post-surgical patients truly feel confident in their own skin—sometimes for the first time in their lives.

Patients both in and outside the Austin area travel to B+A for a comfortable facility operated and supervised by two highly qualified surgeons.
We have big plans for the future of B+A. Our vision is to open a surgery center within our building so patients can complete all testing, appointments, surgery, and aesthetic procedures in one location with the healthcare providers they trust.
