Your Body Contouring Questions Answered

Are you ready to learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about body contouring? We’re here to dish. From how long it takes to how invasive it is (spoiler alert: It’s either noninvasive or minimally invasive), we’ve got all the answers.

What is body contouring?

Body contouring (also known as body sculpting) involves reshaping one or many body areas through minimally invasive or noninvasive treatments. These treatments typically involve devices that emit energy that affects the appearance of skin, muscle, and fat.

While most body contouring treatments provide temporary to semi-permanent results, your diet choices, exercise routine, and general wellness regimen can extend the life of these treatment results.

When it comes to body contouring in Austin, we stand out as a provider because board-certified bariatric surgeons run our practice. We only hire the best nurse practitioners, physician assistants, aestheticians, and office assistants to serve our patients.

What are my body contouring options?

B+A Aesthetics offers patients 3 different options for body contouring in Austin. Two of our treatments are noninvasive, and 1 is minimally invasive. We’ll start with our noninvasive services:

If you want to eliminate stubborn fat and tone areas that your exercise routine can’t impact, EMSCULPT NEO can help.

EMSCULPT NEO is a nonsurgical body contouring treatment that uses 2 types of technology (high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology and radiofrequency) to eliminate fat cells and build muscle.

Treatment Details

Our team can treat the buttocks, abs, legs, and arms with ENSCULPT NEO. One treatment takes 30 minutes, and the process is painless. There’s no downtime post-procedure.

Evolve Transform

Evolve Transform is our go-to treatment to help patients firm and tighten loose skin after significant weight loss.

The Evolve Transform emits bipolar radiofrequency to heat underlying tissue and eliminate fat, as well as electrical muscle stimulation to sculpt muscles. The device can also tighten skin by boosting collagen and elastin production.

Treatment Details

With Evolve Transform, our providers can treat the buttocks, abs, legs, arms, neck, and hips. One pain-free treatment takes 30 to 90 minutes and there’s no downtime afterward.

BodyTite is our longer-lasting, minimally invasive body contouring option. This treatment uses radiofrequency-assisted liposuction to remove fat and firm skin simultaneously. Once we remove fat from an area with BodyTite, it doesn’t return.

Treatment Details

Our providers can treat the buttocks, abs, legs, arms, neck, and hips with BodyTite. One treatment takes 2 to 4 hours, and we administer a numbing solution to the treatment area to ease any discomfort. You can expect to need 3 to 10 days of downtime.

Am I a candidate for body contouring?

Yes, most likely! Evolve Transform and EMSCULPT NEO are both safe for most people, as is BodyTite. However, to ensure you will respond well to these treatments and remain healthy, we ask all our patients to have a consultation with us before any procedures for body contouring in Austin.

How long does it take to work? And how long does it take to see results?

Results vary from person to person, but the following is the general timeline for each of our options for body contouring in Austin:

You can expect to see results after only 2 weeks and will continue to see results for 6 to 12 months.

Patients with a healthy diet and regular exercise routine can see longer-lasting results.

Evolve Transform

You will see the best results that typically last 4 to 6 months after 6 to 8 treatments.

You’ll immediately see less fat in the treatment area. Skin-tightening results take a bit longer because it takes about 6 weeks to build collagen.

Most patients see results for 4 to 6 months.

Can any of these treatments help me lose weight?

Unfortunately, no. Our body contouring treatments help people tighten skin, sculpt muscle, and contour the body post-weight loss.

However, B+A offers a comprehensive range of weight loss options!
